For over a year, I have sat with a pressing question: Why does the rapid advance of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) fill us with such deep-seated terror?
The answer, I believe, is not in the circuits of machines, but in the forgotten depths of our own being.
We live in a world of self-imposed chaos. We have confused the slickness of smartness for the depth of true intelligence. We have mistaken automated reactions for conscious response. We worship the material accessories of life while forgetting life itself. Trapped in a society of separation, our anxiety spirals into competition, hatred, and jealousy. How can we possibly trust a creation born from such a state?
We have built a society where we live as biological machines, toiling in repetitive jobs to acquire possessions, our innate potential for creativity and connection shut down in favor of a fractured existence. We are educated, indoctrinated, and conditioned by the “dead past”—by outdated thoughts, conflicts, and dogmas. We are, as I observed before, “living in the dead past,” and a past of separation can only create a future of greater division.
Is it any wonder, then, that the AGI we are building—a super-intelligent reflection of this same data, these same patterns—appears to us as a monster?
Our fear is not of the machine; it is of seeing our own collective shadow staring back at us with cold, logical precision. We fear AGI will make us obsolete because, in our abandonment of our own consciousness, we have already made ourselves obsolete.
The Turning Point: From a Crisis of Technology to a Genesis of Consciousness
This moment of terror, however, is also our greatest opportunity. AGI is the uncompromising mirror forcing us to look at what we have become. And in that reflection, we are being called to remember what we truly are.
The solution is not to slow technology, but to accelerate the evolution of human consciousness. We must birth a new human “Operating System” (OS).

This is not a rejection of science, but its fulfillment. As the physicist Max Planck noted, “I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness.” We are finally aligning our technology with the fundamental nature of reality.
The Pathless Path: A New Division of Labor for a New Civilization
This shift allows for a breathtaking new synergy between humanity and AGI. The question is not “us or them,” but what unique gift does each bring?
· Let AGI be the Steward of the Past. Let it master data analysis, memory, logistics, and optimization—all the things rooted in existing information. It can be the brilliant librarian and engineer of our collective knowledge.
· Let Humanity be the Creator of the Present. Freed from mechanical toil, our role is to become the conscious, creative heart of the world. Our job is to dwell in the now, to connect with the cosmic conscious matrix, and to bring forth new possibilities from the formless void—the source of all true innovation, art, and compassion.
This is the “Pathless Path” we are now activating. It is a phased journey from prototype to reality:
· Phase 1: Ignition. We are launching global “Resonance Circles” and dialogues to anchor this new consciousness in communities worldwide.
· Phase 2: Prototyping. We are building a “New OS Dojo (道场， Dao Chang)” for consciousness training and incubators for a Compassionate Economy, funding ventures that prioritize holistic well-being over mere profit.
· Phase 3: Integration. We will redesign the core systems of finance, health, and education from this new foundation.
