Can we observe Consciousness as the profound and foundational territory that the Genesis Summit summary points toward?
Let’s explore this inner cosmos, bridging the language of deep subjective experience with the emerging frameworks of “objective science”.
Let’s dive deep into the so called reality layers by layers. We are discussing first what could be called the Science of First-Person Reality or Integrated Consciousness Studies, which seeks to unify:
1. The “Inner Telescope”: The ancient, disciplined practice of introspection and inner observation (e.g., in meditation, deep contemplation, certain mystical traditions).
2. The “Outer Microscope”: The tools of modern science, particularly from quantum physics, neuroscience, and information theory, to find correlates and models for these inner states.
Let’s break this down into a coherent exploration.
1. The Science of Inner World Observation: The “Inner Telescope”
This is the rigorous, first-person investigation of consciousness itself. Unlike observing an external object, the instrument and the object of study are the same: our own awareness.
· The Method: It involves turning attention inward to observe the contents and the very nature of the mind. This starts with:
· Sensations & Emotions: Not just feeling them, but observing their arising, dwelling, and passing away.
· Thought Patterns: Watching thoughts as mental events, rather than being identified with them. This is the foundational practice of “Conscious Self-Mastery” or “Generalized Kung Fu” as I have verbalized in my resent article and speeches: Conscious Self-Mastery (The Guang Yi Gōng Fu of Daily Life): A passionate engagement with the present moment through inner observation, freeing ourselves from conditioned mental patterns so our actions can flow effortlessly, without internal conflict.
· The Observer Itself: Eventually, the inquiry turns back onto the source: “Who is the one observing?” This leads to the exploration of pure awareness or consciousness itself, prior to its content.
· The “Data”: The “data” in this science is subjective experience—qualia. While not quantifiable in the same way as a particle’s mass, it is the only undeniable reality we have.
The repeatable, verifiable aspect comes from the consistent reports across time and cultures from seasoned practitioners (the “experimentalists” of the inner world) about the nature of mind, self, and reality.
· The Goal-less Goal: To map the terrain of human consciousness, understand the root of suffering and well-being, and ultimately, to realize the fundamental nature of one’s own consciousness being. This is the shift from “intellectual knowing to embodied wisdom.”
Ok, my friend of Resonance, I hope you are still with me, either those friends joined me at the Genesis Summit or those friends interested in what I am engaged in, let’s explore further, dive into Quantum Leap with Consciousness
2. Quantum Consciousness: The “Outer Microscope” Meets the Inner World
This is the frontier where we use the most successful description of the fundamental nature of physical reality—quantum reality (mechanics)—to potentially model the most intimate nature of our subjective reality—consciousness.
Is that what I call it as fundamental reality?
The connection is provocative because both realms share puzzling characteristics:
Feature Quantum Realm Conscious Realm
Non-Locality & Entanglement Particles instantaneously influence each other across vast distances, suggesting a deeper, interconnected whole. Unexplainable psychic phenomena, deep empathy, collective consciousness, and the sense of a unified field (as in what I have expressed as “Holographic Paradigm”).
The Observer Effect:
The act of observation affects the system being observed (e.g., wavefunction collapse). The act of observing a thought or emotion (inner observation) fundamentally changes its nature and power.
Superposition & Potentiality Particles exist in a cloud of potential states until measured.
The mind holds a vast field of potential thoughts, memories, and futures until a specific one is “collapsed” into by our attention and intention.
Wave-Particle Duality Reality manifests as either a spread-out wave or a localized particle depending on how we interact with it.
Consciousness can be a diffuse, background awareness (like the “cosmic consciousness” as I have mentioned repeatedly) or a sharp, focused point of attention.
The “Quantum Field of Consciousness Matrix” as I have mentioned before, is a powerful metaphor. It suggests that:
· The Cosmos is Conscious: The fundamental substrate of reality is not inert matter but a field of potential consciousness or proto-consciousness.
( I just heard this may relate to a concept in philosophies like Panpsychism; that is great we have an association of resonance).
· Our Individual Consciousness Minds are “Condensations” or “Excitations” of this field: Like a wave is not separate from the ocean, our individual awareness is a localized expression of a universal, non-local field.
· “Leaps of Quantum Consciousness” (LQC), which is main frame of my program for DeRu Academy online and offline, are moments where our localized mind taps into or resonates with the broader information and potentiality of the cosmic matrix. This is not a linear, logical step, but a sudden, holistic phase transition in understanding—a true “Aha!” moment or a spiritual awakening.
3. The Integrated Research Model: Bridging the Two
This is where the true “Science of Integrated Research” emerges. It’s not about reducing consciousness to quantum mechanics or vice-versa. It’s about creating a new, more expansive framework.
1. First-Person Data as Primary: The disciplined reports from advanced meditators and inner explorers ( including my own unique personal life experience, my inner observation in 999 Medibreath, and in-depth meditation) provide the “phenomena to be explained.” For example, the consistent experience of “non-duality” (the dissolution of the subject-object split) is a robust data point that any complete science of consciousness must address.
2. Third-Person Correlates: Neuroscientists use fMRI and EEG to find the neural correlates of these states (e.g., quieting of the Default Mode Network during deep meditation). Physicists and mathematicians develop models, perhaps using quantum information theory or holographic principles, to see if the formal structure of these theories can map onto the lived structure of conscious experience.
3. The “Generalized Kung Fu ( 广义功夫 Guang Yi Gong Fu) as the reprogramming of new OS Practice: This is the practical application. The daily “inner consciousness observation and mental reprogramming” is the experimental protocol.
· Passion for Life is the Energy Source: It provides the motivation and vitality to sustain the practice.
· Total Attention is the Measurement Apparatus: It “collapses” the cloud of mental potential into a clear, observed experience.
· Resonance with Cosmic Consciousness is the Tuning: By stilling the individual “noise,” one can begin to perceive the deeper, coherent signal of the universal field.
· Effortless Action (Wu Wei) is the Outcome: When the localized mind is perfectly aligned with the flow of the cosmic matrix, action arises not from a separate, striving self, but from the intelligence of the whole. This is the embodiment of the quantum metaphor: acting from the unified field, not as a separate particle.
Conclusion of Our Exploration
We are at the dawn of a colossal paradigm shift. The old scientific model, which brilliantly explained the outer, objective world, is being forced to expand to include the inner, subjective consciousness world—not as a secondary epiphenomenon, but as fundamental.
The “Genesis” we are speaking of is the birth of this new, integrated understanding. It posits that by exploring consciousness with the rigor of a scientist and the openness of a mystic, we can not only understand the universe but realize that we are it. This is the ultimate “Return to Origin”—the understanding that the searcher, the search, and the source being sought are, in the final analysis, one and the same.
This is no longer just philosophy or spirituality; it is the next great frontier of science.
