Releasing the Past & Future Ghosts – From Linear Time to the Eternal Present

by DeRu · July 2026

This is the linear time illusion. It is the source of most human suffering.

The past haunts you with memories, traumas, regrets. You replay old wounds, you carry ancestral grief, you tell yourself stories about what happened to you. The future terrifies you with anxiety, worry, fear of the unknown. You project your fears onto tomorrow, and tomorrow never comes.

You are trapped between a past you cannot change and a future you cannot control. This is the prison of the Old OS.

But what if time is not a river? What if time is not a line at all? What if the past, present, and future are not separate, but are all happening now, in the same eternal moment?

This is the New OS perspective. And it changes everything about healing.

Welcome to Episode 13: The Timeline of Healing – Releasing the Past & Future Ghosts.

Part One: The Bridge – Releasing Our Grip on Time

(Music: flowing, like water finding its way.)
What is the past, really?

The past is not a place you can visit. It is not a thing you can touch. It is a memory – a pattern of energy stored in your cells, your nervous system, your epigenetic code. The past is not "over there." It is in you.

When you carry a trauma from childhood, the event is gone. But the resonance of the event remains. It plays on a loop in your body, in your breath, in your reactions. You are not living in the present. You are living in a hologram of the past.

What is the future, really?

The future is not a place you will go. It is not a thing that is waiting for you. It is a projection – a mental image created by your fears and desires. The future is not "out there." It is in your mind.

When you worry about tomorrow, you are not preparing for the future. You are rehearsing a phantom. You are living in a hologram of the future.

What if you released your grip on both?

What if you stopped trying to rewrite the past and stopped trying to control the future? What if you simply rested in the present moment – not as a concept, but as a lived experience?

This is the bridge. To be fully in the Now of General Kung Fu, you must release your grip on time itself. The past is not your prison. The future is not your master. They are both projections arising in the same eternal awareness.

Part Two: The Deep Dive – The I Ching as a Map of Temporal Flow

(Music: ancient, resonant – like the sound of oracle bones being divined.)
How did the ancients understand time?

The I Ching – the Book of Changes – is one of the oldest texts on the planet. It is not a book of predictions. It is a map of temporal flow. It shows that time is not linear, but cyclical. The hexagrams are not fixed states. They are movements – patterns of energy flowing from one state to another.

In the Old OS, we see time as a straight line. We try to predict the future like a trajectory. We try to fix the past like a broken machine. The I Ching sees time as a spiral. You return to the same patterns, but at a higher level. You face the same challenges, but with greater wisdom.

How does the I Ching heal the past?

The I Ching does not ask you to forget the past. It asks you to see it as flowing energy. A past trauma is not a fixed object. It is a hexagram – a pattern of yin and yang that can change. When you observe your past with the awareness of the I Ching, you are not stuck in the memory. You are in the flow of its transformation.

How does the I Ching dissolve anxiety about the future?

The I Ching does not promise you a certain outcome. It shows you that every situation contains both danger and opportunity. The future is not fixed. It is a field of potential. When you consult the I Ching, you are not asking for a prediction. You are asking for clarity about your current resonance. The future is not something to fear. It is something to participate in.

Part Three: Releasing Personal Trauma – The Individual Timeline

(Music: intimate, tender – like a conversation with the inner child.)
How do you heal your own past?

Not by reliving it. Not by suppressing it. By observing it – without judgment, without attachment, without the need to change it.

The Protocol:

  1. Identify the knot. Where in your body do you feel the past? A tight chest? A clenched jaw? A hollow stomach? The past is not in your thoughts. It is in your tissues.
  2. Breathe into the knot. Use the 999 Medibreath. Inhale 3 seconds, hold 1, exhale 3, pause 9. In the pause, feel the knot begin to loosen. Not because you fought it. Because you finally stopped fighting it.
  3. Observe the story. What is the narrative attached to that knot? "I was abandoned." "I was not enough." "I am unsafe." Do not believe the story. Simply observe it. It is a cloud passing through the sky of your awareness.
  4. Rewrite the resonance. In the 9-second pause, send a new frequency to that knot. Not a new story. A new vibration. "I am held." "I am whole." "I am safe." Do not say these words with your mind. Feel them with your cells.
What happens when you heal your personal timeline?

You stop carrying the past. You become lighter. Your posture changes. Your relationships change. You are no longer reacting to ghosts. You are responding to life.

Part Four: Releasing Collective Trauma – The Ancestral Timeline

(Music: deep, spacious – like the memory of generations.)
Is all trauma personal?

No. Much of what you carry is not yours. It is ancestral – passed down through your family line, through your culture, through your species. The fear of scarcity, the trauma of war, the grief of displacement, the shame of unworthiness – these are collective wounds held in the collective body.

In the Old OS, we believe that healing is individual. In the New OS, we recognize that healing is holographic. When you heal a collective wound within yourself, you are healing it for the whole. The past is not separate from the present. Your ancestors are not separate from you. They are still vibrating in your DNA.

The Protocol:

  1. Acknowledge the lineage. In your meditation, say: "I acknowledge the generations before me. I acknowledge their pain. I acknowledge their strength. I receive their gifts and release their burdens."
  2. Breathe for the ancestors. Use the 3-3-3-9 breath. As you inhale, imagine you are breathing in the resilience of your lineage. As you exhale, imagine you are breathing out their unresolved pain. The 9-second pause is the moment of transmission – the space between the past and the present where healing can occur.
  3. Cut the chain. Visualize a golden cord connecting you to your ancestors. See the old wounds as dark knots in the cord. Now, in the 9-second pause, see the knots dissolve. Not by fighting them. By allowing the light of your awareness to flow through them.
What happens when you heal your ancestral timeline?

You become free. Not just for yourself. For those who came before you. For those who will come after. You are not just healing your life. You are healing the lineage.

Part Five: Releasing Future Anxiety – The Projected Timeline

(Music: spacious, open – like a sky without clouds.)
Why do we fear the future?

Because the Old OS taught us that the future is uncertain and dangerous. We project our past traumas onto the future. "I was hurt before, so I will be hurt again." We create worst-case scenarios. We rehearse our fears. We live in the future more than we live in the present.

But the future is not real. It is a projection. It is a mental image created by your current state. When you are anxious, your future looks threatening. When you are at peace, your future looks open. The future is not something that happens to you. It is something you are creating right now.

The Protocol:

  1. Identify the projection. What are you afraid will happen? Not the vague "something bad." Be specific. Write it down. "I am afraid that I will lose my job." "I am afraid that my relationship will fail." "I am afraid that I will get sick."
  2. Breathe into the projection. Use the 3-1-6-9 breath. Inhale 3, hold 1, exhale 6, pause 9. The long exhale releases the grip of anxiety. The 9-second pause is where the projection dissolves.
  3. Observe the projection as a wave. Imagine the fear as a wave rising in your mind. It is not you. It is a wave. It will rise, crest, and fall. Do not ride the wave. Watch it from the shore.
  4. Open to possibility. In the 9-second pause, ask: "What if the opposite of my fear is true?" Not as a belief. As a question. Let the question open your mind to a field of infinite potential.
What happens when you release your grip on the future?

You stop living in a phantom. You stop rehearsing nightmares. You become available to what is actually present. You are free. Not because the future is certain. Because you no longer need it to be certain.

Part Six: The Diamond Wisdom Sword – Cutting the Illusion of Time

(Music: sharp, clear – like a blade being drawn.)
What is the Diamond Wisdom Sword?

In the ancient traditions, the diamond is the hardest substance. It can cut anything. The wisdom sword is the tool that cuts through illusion. The Diamond Wisdom Sword is awareness itself – sharp, clear, uncompromising.

When you use the Diamond Wisdom Sword, you are not fighting the past. You are cutting the illusion that the past is still happening. You are not fighting the future. You are cutting the illusion that the future is your master. You are cutting the knot of linear time.

The Practice:

  1. Sit in stillness. Close your eyes. Feel the presence of your awareness. It is not located in time. It is the space in which time appears.
  2. Visualize the Diamond Wisdom Sword. See it as a blade of pure light. It is not aggressive. It is precise. It cuts only illusions, never truth.
  3. Cut the chains of the past. See the chains of old memories, old traumas, old identities. In one stroke, cut them. They dissolve. You are not attacking your past. You are releasing its hold on you.
  4. Cut the chains of the future. See the chains of anxiety, worry, projection. In one stroke, cut them. They dissolve. You are not rejecting the future. You are freeing yourself to meet it with openness.
  5. Rest in the Eternal Present. In the 9-second pause, feel the present moment. Not as a point between past and future. As the eternal now – the only moment that has ever existed. The past is a memory of now. The future is a projection of now. All there is, is now.

Part Seven: The Eternal Present Meditation

(Music: silent – a deep, resonant pause.)

The Eternal Present Meditation

Close your eyes.

Feel your breath. Not as a task. As a gift.

Inhale – feel the present entering you.

Exhale – feel the present leaving you.

In the pause, feel what remains.

The past is not you. The future is not you. The only thing that is you is this – the awareness that is aware of this moment.

You are the eternal present.

All healing happens now.
Not in the past. Not in the future. Now.

Breathe. Release. Return.
